OUR ACCREDItATION

GR Metrology is dedicated to providing products and services in adherence with the strictest and most relevant quality standards in the industry.  As one of the few metrology and scale companies to employ a full-time Director of Quality, we work diligently to continuously improve our methods. This means customer equipment remains in peak performance and we fulfill all company-specific quality requirements.

GRM is ISO/IEC 17025 accredited through A2LA (American Association for Laboratory Accreditation). A2LA is a non-profit, non-governmental, public service membership society with a mission to provide world-class accreditation and training services for testing and calibration laboratories. Our metrology labs are audited and certified so you can trust the accuracy and quality of your calibrations

OUR Commitment to quality

Within our Grand Rapids headquarters is a 2,000 sq. ft. calibration lab built to test and certify metrology equipment in a temperature and humidity-controlled environment.  We also offer on-site calibrations for most equipment, using our fully-equipped service vehicles stocked with NIST traceable standards and common repair parts.

Our accredited scope of capabilities has expanded every year since our entrance into the non-weighing metrology and we plan to continue our expansion until we can service every need essential to the performance of your measurement equipment. If you don’t see your equipment on our scope, don’t worry! We have partnered with several accredited calibration labs to provide a full scope of calibrations.

STATE OF MICHIGAN REQUIREMENTS

GR Metrology works very closely with the State of Michigan’s Weights and Measures program to ensure every scale we place into service as NTEP / Legal for Trade is done so in accordance with the law. The goal of the Weights and Measures Program is to make sure customers and companies get a fair measure of what they are buying or selling. The law applies to all persons and/or companies that use scales and other measurement devices for commercial or law enforcement purposes. With almost 100 years of experience in the weighing industry, GRM specializes in the sale and service of NTEP / Legal for Trade measurement equipment.

All new Legal for Trade equipment must be placed in service by a state-registered technician. You may then use the equipment immediately for commercial use, with no need to wait for state inspection. GRM employs over 35 state-registered technicians throughout the state and remains the premier source for NTEP, repair and calibration needs.
